The making of 'Afrika Korps' cinematics
The real-time strategy game 'Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps' from Digital Reality has been released for the PC in Europe and the U.S. through the spring. We've been contacted in the spring of 2003 for a contract to produce various cinematics for the game. The task consisted of short campaign intro and outro movies; and a longer story intro featuring the game's hero characters.
This article will discuss the tools and methods that we used to produce more than 3 minutes of 3D animation for the game.
