GROUND (cont.)

When I worked with ground, it was all simple but its hard to describe the actual process.
In short, all materials consists from two parts:

a) two textures blending by noise mask (in order to disguise tiling). This is the main ground surface. This ones uses Map Channel 1 that is common for all ground surfaces.

b) another texture mixed with the first using the grayscale mask. It used Map Channel 2 and this part is various for different areas. (here for example is texture of the road and its alfa):

New mapping being placed is quite easy. At first, bar have been created and mapping applied to it with selected Map Channel and then it can be modified in any way mapping will follow the modifications.

Then this stripes being woven in mesh of ground and textures placed for road, river and so on. Easy technique but a lot of hand work.
