Lesson 5 - Human Skin
Added on: Sat Mar 09 2002
Page: 1 2 3 4 5 7 8 9

Step 3: Color Block

Save your sketch and start filling it with color from your palette. I used the Pen tool and the Flat color variant. I started with the left (her right) side of the body. I did not use the brightest color in my palette so the left side of her body is too dark in this step. I did not use the 3 brightest colors until the rest of the body was completed and smoothed.

Left: light midtones filled in, right: more midtone colors

Left: more colors, middle: color block complete, right: initial smoothing with a small "Just add water tool"
