"Warrior monk" - Behind the scenes

The monk was done. Next thing was to create the environment. For that I modeled some stones for the ground, painted a texture for 4 piece then cloned and rotated it several times. Then I modeled and textured one background "building", cloned several times and modified the texture 3 times. So those background elements have 3 slightly different texture (mainly different dirt...).



When the environment was done, I merged the character into the scene and began to light it up. One main light (the Sun), a few fill lights and some rim lights to "detach" the monk from the background.


The lit scene looks like this in the viewport:
