Techbits

Greg
Techbits are a brain child of Greg Hess, who initially started them on the Discreet Forum, then moved them here to a permanent home; they are gathered, (chewed up) and processed by Greg Hess and Thomas Bruno, an all around good guys, hardware experts and 3DLuVr staff/contributing authors.

PCI? We don't need no stinking PCI! Firingsquad takes a look at the next generation of I/O, the 3GIO. Looks like we'll have something new to plug into in a few years.

The Radeon 8500....what happened? A great looking card with some serious issues plaguing it. Might be a card to look at in the future...

"And Thor struck with his hammer and all was silent, the great enemy was defeated." -Fake Passage

Remember how excited you were when the 64 Bit Nintendo came out? Multiply that a few billion operations/sec and you've got AMD's new Sledgehammer. Lets hope the empire doesn't get a hold of this, it could ruin the rebellion. (Star wars DVD just came out, sorry C3P0)

Ace, technical hardware guru, reviews the Athlon XP. eXperience Intel's defeat at the hands of a much cheaper and MUCH faster processor. (Yes I am biased towards AMD. They gave me a cooler pen :) )
