 Character Animator positions in Toronto Posted by: amigo

Catapult Productions, makers of "Monster by Mistake" an all CGI TV show, are looking for character animators for another 26 half hour episodes. They use Houdini, but prior knowledge of Houdini is not a requirement, except that the residents of Ontario will be the only one considered for positions. More details are below:
Character Animators Needed
Monster By Mistake is an all cgi children's show. 26 half hours have
already been produced. We are now hiring character animators for
another 26 half hours.
Because of how the budget was cobbled together, we are relying on
various tax credits from the province of Ontario in order to complete
our financing. This means that we can only consider candidates who were
residents of Ontario in 2001. I know that this sucks, but we're stuck
with it.
Animation quota will be 25 seconds a week. Animation will be done in
Houdini software. Prior knowledge of Houdini is not required. Length
of employment is a minimum of 56 weeks. The studio is located in
downtown Toronto, in the Richmond-Spadina area. Production will start
between October 27 and November 11.
We are not looking for modelers, lighters, technical directors, effects
animators, production managers or interns. Only character animators.
If you are currently under contract somewhere and will not have
completed your contract by mid-November, please don't apply.
