ResPower Supports RPC for LightWave [8]
Posted by: amigo
Source: Press Release
 Date: Mon Mar 14 2005
March 14, 2005 - ResPower Inc. is pleased to announce the immediate support of ArchVision's RPC plug-in for Newtek's LightWave [8] on the ResPower Super/Farm, the world's premier render farm. Because the ResPower Super/Farm Render Farm is RPC Enabled, users do not need to upload their ArchVision RPC content files in order to render. They only need to upload their scene files, object files, and textures - the entire ArchVision RPC library is already accessible at the farm for rendering purposes.

The self-service interaction with the ResPower Super/Farm allows customers to render with unsurpassed speed from anywhere in the world at any time, without hassle. Should problems arise, ResPower offers unparalleled free technical support 24 hours a day.

Randall Stevens, President of ArchVision, stated that "Seeing RPC on LightWave at the ResPower Super/Farm is great. Now our customers that are using RPC to quickly produce photo-realistic animations and scenery in the award-winning LightWave package can accelerate their rendering using a world-class render farm at any time. Couple that power with the broad RPC library available from ArchVision, and there's no limit to what the artist can accomplish."

William Vaughan, NewTek's LightWave Evangelist and instructor at the DAVE school, says, "The Super/Farm is astonishingly fast and has developed a strong following in the LightWave community. With the addition of RPC technology and LightWave [8], it is sure to be an enabling technology for artists around the world to produce stunning graphics quickly."

Early Ehlinger, President & CEO of ResPower, Inc., says, " LightWave was one of the original render engines that ResPower supported, and we are proud to continue that tradition of support by implementing RPC technology for LightWave . Our LightWave customers have been eagerly looking for image-based-rendering technologies that would work with LightWave , and when ArchVision produced the RPC plug-in, it was a natural decision to support it."

With over 2,700 GHz and the enhanced rendering power of RPC on LightWave [8], the ResPower Super/Farm render farm turns any crew into a major studio. Everyone from large firms to individual users can log in at any time, upload their files and render. ResPower delivers the best in speed, software, and service 24x7x365. And because the Super/Farm is self-service, render jobs as short as a single frame are welcome.
