SoftimageXSI User Group in Toronto Posted by: amigo Source: email Date: Wed Sep 11 2002 It seems after a long time, Toronto will finally have an official User Group for Softimage|XSI. The Inaugural Meeting is held on Monday September 23rd, at Seneca College's Digital Media Center. All details are below:
With version 3.0, our industry-renowned 3-D nonlinear production environment, SOFTIMAGE|XSI, has taken another giant step forward.
Driven by the requirements of the world's most demanding production pipelines, this latest version of SOFTIMAGE|XSI offers artists and developers in all industries performance and productivity enhancements across the complete range of modeling, animation, simulation, rendering and compositing toolsets to gain and maintain a competitive edge. This release also includes powerful new features and toolsets for increased efficiency and accelerated productivity in advanced production situations. For more details on on what is new and improved in XSI v.3.0, please download the list of features.
Come to the first meeting of the Toronto Softimage user group. This meeting is open to all in the animation community and not just Softimage users.
Along with demonstrating the new features of XSI v.3.0, we will demonstrate how SOFTIMAGE|XSI v.3.0 can be integrated into a non-Softimage production environment. Weather you use Maya, Max, Lightwave or any other 3-D application, Softimage has the solutions for a complete workflow process. Membership information and future topics of the continuing Toronto Softimage user group will also be discussed.
Have you always wanted to work with SOFTIMAGE|XSI but could never move assets across from other animation packages? Join us on Monday, September 23, 2002 and find out how!
