Source: Press Release
 Date: Fri Nov 05 2004
WorldTech Devices, manufacturer of the Specialist line of application assist keyboards, announced today a new keyboard for Maya professional 3D modeling, animation, effects and rendering software. With this exciting new product, WorldTech brings the productivity benefits of the NLE market to the large and growing Maya user community.

"The new Maya keyboard from WorldTech is a great way to learn the myriad of shortcuts available in Maya. A very cool approach to improving your Maya skill set!", Jeff Meeker, president of Simulistic LLP

Designed in collaboration with Alias engineers and expert users, the Maya Keyboard includes more than 75 Maya mission-critical shortcut commands, including new commands from version 6.0. The Maya shortcut commands have been laser etched onto the keys for quality and longevity. Color-coded keys are also utilized to assist the Maya user in locating important command categories.

WorldTechs Maya Keyboard will enable professionals to realize similar productivity improvements as the users of NLE specialty keyboards. Time-motion studies show that productivity savings from using shortcut commands can reach as high as 50%. The Maya Keyboard will also aid new Maya users in learning the mission-critical commands much faster.

Suggested list pricing for the Maya Keyboard:
USB-wired Maya Keyboard version - $89 U.S.
RF-Wireless Maya Keyboard & Mouse version - $149 U.S.
