 Date: Sat Mar 06 2004
Leiden, The Netherlands - March 6, 2004 - Act-3D B.V. (www.act-3d.com) has released a new update of their main software product, Quest3D (www.quest3d.com). Again a large number of improvements have been made including support for more Human Interface Devices and larger source objects. Compatibility and usability has been improved and a large number of new features were added.

Act-3D B.V. has been following the real-time 3D market by adding support for larger objects into Quest3D. The newest 3D cards from NVIDIA and ATI are capable of handling millions of polygons per second. Because of this artists can now use more complex models to make virtual reality scenes look more realistic. The newest version of Quest3D can now import very complex models and display these real-time on the latest 3D hardware.

Since the first release of Quest3D a growing number of universities and schools have been using the software to teach their students about virtual reality development, and real-time 3D graphics. With the addition of support for more Human Interface Devices it is now possible to use Quest3D Version
2.2 for more complex virtual reality hardware like Data Gloves, Stereo Projection Screens and Force Feedback Devices.

Quest3D has always been the fastest performing virtual reality software and with the speed improvements in this latest release the package will again claim the number one position. The combination of this raw power and the "What You See Is What You Get" editor will allow artists to create better looking projects in less time.

This new version is free for all Quest3D customers and is available for download from the website www.quest3d.com or it can be purchased online or through resellers world-wide. There is also a demo version of the software available for download and a large number of demos and movies that showcase the usability of the software.
