Right Hemisphere(R), a leading provider of visual communication solutions software, announced today the immediate availability of its Illustration Module software which takes nearly any 3D computer-aided design (CAD) model and outputs it into high quality line art and shaded illustrations. These illustrations are used in technical documentation for print, Web and multimedia presentations. The Illustration Module is an ideal tool for any manufactured product documentation work as it helps present 3D data with images that are clear and easy to understand.
The Right Hemisphere Illustration Module is used in conjunction with the company's Deep Server(TM) or Deep Exploration(TM) software. Deep Server is a graphical processing server for the automation of re-purposing CAD and other 2D and 3D data types. It includes a development environment for any enterprise to create, manage and integrate graphical data into e-BOM, parts catalogs, technical publications, and more. The company's client solution, Deep Exploration, provides easy navigation tools to search and view 2D graphics and 3D models. It gives artists everywhere a production edge, including the ability to quickly translate 2D and 3D file formats with optional animation translation.
When the Illustration Module is used with Deep Server, technical illustrations can be linked back to the server so that changes to the original CAD models are automatically reflected in the illustrations. This creates a dynamic and associative technical publications environment that saves time previously spent on manual updates. More importantly, these automated updates ensure that documents are always current and accurate.

The Illustration Module features the unique ability to generate numbered part callouts and parts lists directly from the CAD data. Using the Scaleable Vector Graphics .svg format, an interactive document can be automatically generated that links and highlights parts, and callouts. This is perfect for creating electronic and online technical manuals. It is also possible to output combined image and line art in Adobe Illustrator(R) .ai or Scaleable Vector Graphics .svg formats. The Illustration Module can support additional formats such as Computer Graphics Metafile .CGM files and .DXF.
