Desktop Images "Weapons of Mass Instruction" event

Burbank, CA � June 24, 2003 � Desktop Images, a leading provider of visual training solutions for the creative community worldwide, today announced �Weapons of Mass Instruction��, a daylong training workshop taught by motion picture and television industry 3D animation professionals. Weapons of Mass Instruction is a full day of workshops featuring motion picture, television & media digital artists sharing their professional industry secrets to better modeling, animation & compositing with LightWave� 3D, After Effects�, Photoshop� and more. WMI training will provide a �surgical strike� of top secrets and creative weapons.

Weapons of Mass Instruction will be found in San Diego, California on Monday, July 28, 2003 during the annual SIGGRAPH conference and trade show. Courses offered include �Celshaded: Monsters, Mechs, and Metropoli�, instructed by Rob Baldwin; �Motion Graphics and Design Concepts� with Rich Helvey; �3D Character Animation Techniques� taught by Todd Grimes; and Emile Edwin Smith will instruct �Visual FX Creation: From A to Zoic.� Trainer bios and full course descriptions are posted on the training registration site. www.desktopimages.com/WMI.shtml

Training Event Details and Location

Training will include two concurrent morning sessions and two concurrent afternoon sessions; morning sessions will take place from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and afternoon sessions will take place from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

The training events will be followed by the �Operation Creative Freedom� reception, which is open to the general public, but pre-registration is required. The reception will feature food, drinks, demo and training reels, and a special preview of Luxology�s new technology.
