All's well that end's well Posted by: amigo Source: local Date: Mon Feb 18 2002 Back up and running !
After completing the setup of the webservers at 2am on Thursday morning (6 hours before actually taking the trip to USA); having to give up my computer I use for work because Adaptec 29160 SCSI controller did not want to cooperate with the original motherboard (server is now a beastly AMD 1600+XP 1Gb RAM, which used to be my work config, now just a memory :-( ) ; then taking a 1,600 km trip in less than two days (driving to Newark, NJ from Toronto, CAN), 2.5hrs of hassle at the USA border (my own computers need an export/import papers - even though they are originally bought in USA ?!), and a labyrinth of highway exits (I-this and I-that), the 3DLuVr webserver has safely reached its new location and is up and running as you can see. There still might be some glitches with the DNS but all that should be resolved within couple of day (depending on your ISP).
I'd like to thank all who have emailed me in the past week, offering help, and everyone else who have patientily waited for 3DLuVr to come back online.
Big BIG thanks go to the guys at the Global Animation Studio in Newark NJ where 3DLuVr server is now located.
It will take me couple of days (week) to get all sorted out (alot of email to be read and replied to etc), so please if I did not answer your recent email right away, bear with me.
If you have requested a 3DLuVr account (I have about 20+ requests waiting), I most probably did get your email, but havent had a chance to do anything about it, so the above stays, I'm sorting through all the emails one at the time.
That's about it, have fun and enjoy...
