Approaching Sub-Zero-the Coolermaster ATC-110 Case
Added on: Wed Oct 31 2001

Since the dawn of time humans have attempted to shape and modify their surroundings by modifying existing structures, or creating new ones. Some of these attempts failed miserably, (The Square Wheel), while some were more successful (The Oval Wheel). Advancing to the current century, we see the latest trend in the computer market...aluminum.

(I skipped quite a bit of inventions, but I didnt think you wanted to hear about Sharp Rock version #126 Now with new pointy tips!)

Aluminum, as you may know, is this mystical and magical material, which is both lighter then steel, and is able to dissipate heat at a much more rapid pace. Which makes it ideal for cooling, both in heatsinks and cases.
The ATC-110 from Coolermaster is one such case.

The Case

The ATC-110 is constructed of aluminum and steel. The mainstay of the case is a sturdy and rather thick aluminum shell, consisting of a brushed aluminum façade, and varying from 5mm to 10mm in thickness. By using aluminum, Coolermaster is able to decrease the weight of the case (It's around 10-12 lbs. Im American, no kilograms for you!) and allow it to dissipate heat more rapidly then a cold shower. The case features a drive bay door, an extended ATX configuration, and multiple intake and exhaust fans.
