Added on: Sun May 28 2000
Page: 1 2 3 5 6

WaterThis is a Painter unique tool. It does a mix between heavy blur and smudge/smear. The Just Add Water variant is awesome for creating smooth gradients. This is a extremly handy tool for perfecting smooth gradients in no time! The Just Add Water variant is incredible. Example image: Just Add Water on Pencils
LiquidDifferent variants of distortion tools. Ie Distorto, Smeary mover, Pinch, Bulge and moreUse for distorting; Example image: different Liquid variants on Flat pen
Palette knivesDistortion tools Use for distorting; Example image: different Palette Knife variants on Flat pen
ClonersPaint a clone of a chosen image into another image.N/AN/A
PhotoPhoto retouching tools. Variants are Blur, Sharpen, Add Grain, Scratch Remover, Dodge, Burn, Saturation Add and Hue.Painter is mainly a painting tool, and is not meant to be an alternative to Photoshop. This category of tools make it possible though. The Dodge tool is very good for adding bright highlights (in a human eye maybe). And the Burn tool can be used to add shadow/dark details.N/A

[Note] Some tools features a Grain value. The Grain can be thought of as roughness of the 'paper' you paint on. Higher grain value gives less grain!

[Note] Some categories may vary in the different versions of Painter. The Water category is joined with Liquid category in Painter 6.x.
