zMatte is another product from Digital Film Tools, known among other things for their "Ozone" and "Light" plugins, and Composite Suite set of plugins. Their latest plugin, created for After Effects, Final Cut Pro and Avid Editing Systems, utilizes proprietary matte extraction technique and 16-bit processing to quickly create mattes with minimal parameters.
If your shot is done well, there's little to adjust, else zMatte comes with a set of tools to make it look right, such as mutliple matte creation as well as Blur, Shrink, and Wrap functions.
The foreground can be color matched to the background, once the key is pulled, using sophisticated color tools, in addition to isolated color suppression.
