Posted by: amigo
Source: ATI website
 Date: Thu Aug 22 2002
New (beta) version of ATI RenderMonkey IDE, a suite of open, extensible shader development tools is available from the ATI developer's website.
Intended for both current and future hardware, RenderMonkey allows programmers and artists to collaborate on creating realtime shader effects.

ATI showed these tools publicly for the first time at Siggraph 2002 in San Antonio, on the ATI booth and in a number of partner sessions.
RenderMonkey IDE is available for free download to anyone interested in working with programmable graphics shaders.
