Posted by: amigo
Source: DMN
 Date: Thu Sep 09 2004
Andersson Technologies LLC is pleased to announce release 2004.5 of its popular SynthEyes camera tracking software. SynthEyes 2004.5 contains many improvements suggested by our users to enhance workflow capabilities.

- File/Merge option to merge previously-tracked shots with the current scene file, for example, to re-use a collection of reference stills.
- Entire tracked shots can be shifted later in time, to accommodate additional frames when shot edit points change.
- PNG file format support.
- File/Import Tracker Locations operation to ease tracker location imports, either from set measurements, or from pre-existing models.
- Frame rate adjustable to non-standard rates for under- and over-cranked shots.
- A system(...) call in the Sizzle scripting language, to facilitate studio workflows.
- Additional export script customization options.
- Additional manual material.
- Many minor enhancements to facilitate usability.

With customers in over 20 countries, SynthEyes has been used in productions including the Oscar-winning Master and Commander: Far Side of the World, The Terminal, The Day After Tomorrow, Van Helsing, and Miracle, with many more in production. It offers export scripts for most major animation and compositing applications, including 3ds max, Maya, XSI, Lightwave, C4D, Houdini, Blender, Hash A:M, After Effects, Combustion, Flame, Inferno, Nuke, and more.

Pricing and Availability

SynthEyes may be purchased at http://www.ssontech.com for $349 US for download, with a CD $10 extra shipped to the US, $15 international. Quantity discounts are available. Release 2004.5 is available to existing customers through the support site at no extra charge.

A free SynthEyes demo may be downloaded from the web site.
