After their spectacular price drop for Maya, A|W is now making their "Unlimited" version of the upcoming 4.5 release even more unlimited by adding a fluid dynamics & effects engine, capable of simulating and rendering both liquid and gaseuos phenomena.
According to A|W, "Maya 4.5 is the first major 3D application to accurately simulate and render fluid motion, providing a range of effects from gaseous atmospherics such as clouds and smoke, through thick, viscous liquids such as lava and mud. Maya Fluid Effects� also comes with an ocean shader for creating realistic open water"
