 IRIDAS to Unveil DI System at SIGGRAPH 2004 Posted by: amigo

Munich, Germany - July 27, 2004 - IRIDAS, a pioneer in Digital Intermediate technologies today announced that the IRIDAS DI System will debut at SIGGRAPH in August. Two new products, FrameCycler DI and SpeedGrade DI, will each offer a full editing feature set alongside their industry-leading playback and non-destructive color-grading capabilities. The DI System will further enhance workflow efficiency and flexibility for post facilities and digital artists.
Both FrameCycler DI and SpeedGrade DI are compatible with existing applications and include full EDL conform and export capabilities. The editing toolset is enhanced with features such as shot versioning and comparisons, multiple playheads, drag-and-drop support, and integration with external hardware control panels. Automatic local caching of networked material provides immediate access to sequences and avoids the time-consuming requirement of manually copying files.
In addition to the above, Speedgrade DI includes Grading Tracks allowing for flexible grading setups that apply to different parts of the timeline. Grading Tracks can be animated and also offer vector-based animated mask support.
