Greenworks Organic-Software has posted a public beta for XFrog 4.1, a new version of the company's organic modeling and animation plugin. The latest version adds a variety of additional features, including node growth control, improved curve control and enhanced performance. It's available now for Mac OS X and Windows.
XFrog is a tool used for organic modeling and animation. Previously available as a standalone application, the software was released in version 4 as a plugin designed for use with 3D host applications. It presently supports Maxon Cinema 4D XL 8. The new version 4.1 public beta includes improved curve control, node growth control, improved redraw speeds and a revamped XFR Importer. It also adds a new Deviation Object, which is applied to the path spline of a branch object to bend it away from every node.
The XFrog 4.1 public beta is available for download now for Mac OS X and WIndows. The full version runs $299, and Greenworks says it expects to release the final 4.1 version soon.
