SplutterFish Ships Brazil Rio Rendering System
Posted by: amigo
Source: Press Release
 Date: Wed Mar 03 2004
Venice, Ca - Mar. 03, 2004 - SplutterFish, LLC, a high-end 3D rendering software solutions provider, today announced the immediate availability of Brazil Rendering System Rio Edition (Brazil Rio), a freely available, personal-use, non-commercial edition of its award-winning Brazil r/s V1.2 renderer for 3ds max and Autodesk VIZ. Brazil Rio is a fully-functional rendering suite designed to allow students, enthusiasts, and industry professionals the opportunity to learn and explore the depth and capabilities of the Brazil Rendering System. Brazil Rio is available for download from the SplutterFish website at http://www.splutterfish.com/rio.

SplutterFish, and its founders, have a long history of providing the CG community with free, high quality production tools and Brazil Rio follows in this tradition. With Rio, Brazil r/s -- widely used by A-List studios in feature films, game development, and other cross visualization purposes -- is now open to a wider audience of industry professionals, students and enthusiasts, who can experience this revolutionary, high-end rendering technology risk-free. With some slight differences, Brazil Rio offers all the same features available in the full commercial release of Brazil r/s Version 1.2. This edition is intended for non-commercial use and restricts users to non-commercial applications with limitations on output resolution, network rendering, and a non-commercial-use file format.

"SplutterFish is excited to continue our tradition of offering artists opportunities to exercise and realize their creative and career potentials. Now easily available, Brazil Rio is the ultimate way for artists to experience what many of our clients have told us is their secret weapon against their competition," said Scott Kirvan, CEO at SplutterFish. "Also, the demand for experienced Brazil professionals is exploding and we hope this starter package will make it easier for studios to find skilled, and knowledgeable Brazil artists."

Access to Brazil Rio technical support and related issues will be available via SplutterFish's extensive web-based group of communities. Brazil Rio users will have access to additional learning materials including documentation, tutorial and example files that cover the basic concepts of Brazil r/s and the rendering process, and enjoy access to the company's community discussion forums and online chat areas where users exchange advice and instruction to more rapidly facilitate understanding of the software.

Availability

Brazil r/s is a high-end production renderer currently available and actively supported for Discreet's 3ds max (R3/4/5/6) animation software, as well as Autodesk's visualization software, VIZ 3 and VIZ 4. Brazil r/s is fully compatible with nearly all third-party max/VIZ plug-ins, including critical third-party rendering plug-ins (materials, textures, RPC, lights, and volumetrics). Brazil Rio runs on the Windows(R) 2000, Windows(R) NT, and Windows(R) XP operating systems.
