ATI Teams With Right Hemisphere To Provide Long-Awaited Free 3D Production Management Tools. Press release as follows:

ATI's FIRE GL(TM) X1 Bundles Software for 3D Content and
Prototype Sharing Across a Broad Range of Mediums
ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY; NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced that it has partnered with Right Hemisphere(R) to provide an efficient hardware and software bundling for 3D production management. ATI will bundle Right Hemisphere's Deep Visualizer(TM) and a trial version of Deep Exploration(TM) software free with the retail version of its FIRE GL(TM) X1 workstation product, scheduled to be available worldwide by October 2002.
ATI's FIRE GL X1 and Right Hemisphere's bundled software will save time and accelerate the production pipeline. Designed for the editing phase of digital content creation, Deep Visualizer allows the user to import and edit real-time photo-realistic renderings of the artists' models from leading CAD and DCC software applications such as Unigraphics, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Maya(R), 3ds max(TM) and Softimage/XSI(TM). With ATI's optimized shader technology, artists can easily manipulate and adjust surface textures and shaders. Deep Exploration allows the rendered models and prototypes to be shared efficiently across a wide variety of mediums - entertainment and game development, manufacturing, merchandising and packaging - with no loss of visual fidelity or geometry, and eliminating the need to recreate content.
