Source: Press Release
 Date: Wed Feb 25 2004
Sachform Technologies, the makers of the HDRIbase collections (High-Res High Dynamic Range Image) have added two new titles to their product lineup: HDRIbase Vol.3 and HDRIview v1.0.

HDRIbase Vol. 3 is a collection of High-Res texture maps in HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image).

- 40 different locations (*.hdr+*.jpg)
- Images in 3000x1500 pixels
- color and monochrome version of each location (-> 80 HDR images)
- all images are full spherical panoramas
- no disturbing elements (camera, photographer, etc.)
- Easy to use database-interface
- contains HDR and LDR version

HDRIbase Vol.3 is the completion of the HDRIbase collection.
Not only further HDRI panoramas from spain but also new indoor panoramas will help the user to find exactly the right lighting situation for her/his needs.

HDRIbase Vol. 3 enables the user to do a very quick and realistic ligthing setup for 3D-scenes. No more trouble and hours of tweaking to get a realistic lighting, just open a HDRI and render it with your preferred application (the application must be able to deal with the .hdr- format). Most 3D-applications are able to deal with HDRIs natively or with the assistance of a plugin.

------

HDRview V 1.0 is a realtime panoramic HDR-Viewing application.

HDRview enables the user to view spherical HDR panoramas in a perspective OpenGL-viewport with realtime exposure without the need of a 3D-application.
It is based on a High performance 3D-OpenGL engine by Pixel-Light (www.pixel- light.de). That means maximum performance with a very good OpenGL quality.

With an up-to-date Geforce FX graphics card which supports vertex and fragment shaders, the user is able to use the realtime exposure feature. This means simply dragging the exposure slider while watching the seamless blending of the HDR image.

Feature List:
- drag&drop integration
- ultrafast viewing-engine
- 2D View / 3D-View
- realtime zooming
- realtime exposure** changes
- loads HDRIs within Zip-Archives
- save various Image-formats
- ships with one free Highres HDRI
