FaceStation 2 Ships for Maya and 3ds max

Specialist Reseller, Pixelution Ltd, is proud to announce that FaceStation 2 is now available for Maya and Max. FaceStation Version 2 is being described as an animators dream come true. It tracks facial expressions and mouth movements in real-time without the time consuming post process and no expensive hardware is required.

It is very easy to use, extremely fast, and affordable and its vision technology is unrivalled. FaceStation is made up of a suite of software applications. With a camera pointed at your face, you can enjoy hands-free, natural facial animation without the markers, pre-calibration and refined expression tracking. FaceStation provides feedback in real-time, thus making facial animation quick and interactive. Animation can be set up, recorded, reviewed and edited in real-time. FaceStation is the single most cost effective, fully featured facial animation software in the market today.

No Strings Attached (NSA) has recently purchased a FaceStation 2 license from Pixelution. Alan Marques, Visual Effects Supervisor from NSA explained: "We need direct control of our facial animation pipeline rather than use a bureau service and FaceStation 2 is the only cost effective solution we have found that can actually deliver the quality and quantity of animation required. Its ability to track video taped or live footage of an actors face, and then apply it to a 3D computer model without using markers, makes the system a pleasure to use and the resulting volume of lip-synced facial animation that it can produce in a working day is still the best I have seen. FaceStation 2 has become an integral part of the two production workflows we have developed for both Boudicca and Sqaudron two fully CG animated features under development at NSA.

FaceStation 2 is distributed in the UK by Pixelution. FaceStation works on 3ds max 4, 5 & 6 as well as Maya 4, 4.5 & 5 platforms.
