September, 15 2003 - Spiral Graphics Inc. today announced the release of its anticipated Genetica seamless texture maker. Genetica, the world's first node-based texture maker to specialize in the generation of seamless textures, will dramatically improve the productivity of game designers, 3D artists, and others.
Because of Genetica's flexible node-based system, all elements of a texture can be edited and rearranged in any desired order, leading to a significant increase in productivity. Since no change to a texture is permanent, costly mistakes are eliminated. In addition, Genetica will automatically see to the work of making textures seamless, allowing designers to focus purely on the texturing itself.
Over 200 fully-editable presets come included in Genetica, meaning designers don't have to start from scratch with each new texture. Genetica is resolution-independent, leaving designers free to quickly re-render existing textures at different sizes as requirements change.
