So after that warm up with AliasWavefront slashing price on Maya, here enters Softimage cutting the price of their "Legendary 3D software" (Softimage|3D - Creative Environment) in half, now available for US$1,495. The full press release is available.
Personally I always liked Softimage|3D, while many people cannot put up with its interface, I found it easy, elegant, convenient and fast especially the shortcut keys), and the features it provided were great (talk about kick butt IK for example). But enough of my rambling, get to the Softimage Press Release below.
