SANTA CLARA, CA -- May 12, 2003 -- NVIDIA Corporation today unveiled the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 series of graphics processing units (GPU), the newest high-performance desktop GPU in the award-winning GeForce FX family. Industry-recognized influencers validated the Company's performance claims(1) by reporting blistering results on the latest game benchmarks. When running one of the industry's highly anticipated benchmarks -- Doom3 from id Software -- the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra recorded more than a 45% performance increase over the nearest competitive product.
