This could be a localized news item?, but maybe those in the area might be interested to take a shot at Houdini and get certified (Introductory, Intermediate or Advanced level) for $500 a level. That is if you have $500 and want to say you are certified in Houdini :)
SANTA MONICA -- October 24, 2002 -� Side Effects Software, developer of the Houdini family of 3D software, will hold a set of certification course for Houdini V.5.5 from November 21-23.
Certified Houdini Trainers are eligible to teach Houdini certified classes, will receive a license of Houdini master for non-commercial use while certified, can participate in beta testing in upcoming versions and products, access to advanced technical support and a listing on the Side Effects website as a certified trainer.
Candidates should have a good working knowledge of Houdini V.5.5 and need to pass a phone assessment test at least two weeks before the certification course. Applicants should set up a phone time via [email protected] and the phone assessments must be completed by November 7.
Certification is available for introductory, intermediate and advanced levels and each certification level costs $500. The location is a SESI Training Center, 233 Wilshire Blvd., ste. 610, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
