Manufacturer of visual effects software 5D, better known for their Cyborg compositor, Eclipse compositor and effects software, Colossus digital film colour grading system and a plethora of f/x plugins, has closed its doors as is in the process of the liquidation now.
A bit of good news is that Colorfront, an independent software company who was behind the grading system in Colossus, and a sole owner of the 5D Colossus intellectual property, will continue to develop and support Colossus.
They are now working on setting up their own network of resellers and are planing to announce a major new release of Colossus product by the end of 2002.
